Through a partnership with the Zawadi Africa Education Fund, the Coca-Cola Africa Foundation awards scholarships with a maximum value of $20,000 each to academically talented young women from economically deprived families in the Central African Republic, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa who have the goal of obtaining a higher education in the United States.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants need to have completed the educational requirements that are equivalent to a high school diploma in the United States, be enrolled in an undergraduate program that is either two or four years long, and have a cumulative grade point average that is at least 3.0 or higher.

International Association of Black Actuaries Scholarship

The International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA) Undergraduate Scholarship is for people from third world countries or any Caribbean or African country who have recently been accepted to a college in the United States or Canada and have a student visa to study actuarial science as an undergraduate.

Those who want to apply must hail from the Central African Republic or be of African descent. They also have to be paid IABA members, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in their first-degree studies, have a SAT math score of at least 600, and be serious about a career as an actuary.

James Angelo Memorial Scholarship

The James Angelo Memorial Scholarship is given out every year by the Maine-African Partnership for Social Justice to the Central African Republic and African immigrants who have graduated from Portland High School. It is named after a refugee from South Sudan who was killed while working as a security officer at Mercy Hospital.

To be eligible, qualified students of African descent must be enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year college or university with a major in criminal justice. The goal is to help the African community in Maine by making positive social changes.

The Olaniyan Scholars Program at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis is open to students of the Central African Republic and other African origin and offers complete first-degree studies in-state tuition coverage with a $2,000 yearly stipend for up to four years of undergraduate study.
